Democracy and Mail In Voting
There are only 4 weeks left until election day for New York’s 15th District on June 23rd. We have officially passed 2 months of Quarantine and have a tentative reopening date of June 15th but without a proper tracing program a second wave is imminent. The Bronx has been the most affected by the Coronavirus Crisis. If you are still at risk or don’t want to put your family at risk we urge you to sign up for your absentee ballot as soon as possible.
With almost 1.5 million residents in the Bronx the voter turnout should be more than 60,000. Over a million people are powerless in the Democratic process. Julio has fought for our rights for over 60 years and in 2020 he will take our fight to congress.
The Pandemic doesn’t follow borders so our Revolution won’t either. Across the country organizations are mobilizing for a people’s party. The democrats are too right wing to provide true alternatives to Republicans. The Republican Party has hired 50,000 new employees to monitor for voter fraud but the concern is that it will increase voter suppression. We need everyone to spread the word to two people about how simple it is to register and cast a mail in ballot.
"Anyone registered to vote in NYC can cast their ballot in the June 23 election by mail, by requesting and submitting an absentee ballot. Voters can request their absentee ballot online, at www.nycabsentee.com, or send in a print-at-home form"
